Dr. Schuckert is heading the Regulatory Strategy Development of Daimler Truck AG and Daimler Truck’s International Hydrogen Strategy.
Major topics in that respect amongst others are Heavy Duty Greenhouse Gas / CO2 regulations around the world, especially for the EU, China and Japan, criteria pollutant regulations in the Triad and BRIC markets. He is also coordinating Daimler Truck’s fuel strategy development especially with regard to the future use of hydrogen in transportation and related activities on the hydrogen infrastructure development for heavy duty vehicles.
He has recently initiated the PEGASUS-project, the most advanced fuel cell truck project in Germany, which has been approved by the European Commission during summer 2022. From 2000 (until 2007) onwards he was also responsible for the co-ordination of the CUTE and STEP projects – the largest and most successful projects on fuel cell buses at that time world-wide. Since the STEP (Sustainable Transportation for PERTH) project he has close links to Western Australia.
