Christian Barba Rodulfo is currently the Director of the Energy Storage Unit for Europe in EDP Renewables. Additionally, he oversees the development of renewable plants in several countries and the construction in Germany and the Netherlands. He joined EDPR in 2020.
Additionally, Christian is a member of the Executive Board of the European Association for Storage of Energy (EASE) and vicechair of the Grid and Flexibility workgroup in the Solar Power Europe.
Previously, since 2016, Christian was the Director of Business Development in Groupo Cobra, and was in charge of IPP, BOT and EPC for Europe and Africa, where he was involved in a wide range of technologies among which Wind, PV, thermosolar, biomass and hybrid power plants with batteries and hydrogen.
Previously, Christian spent more than 10 years in different Engineering and Construction companies, more recently as International Director.
Christian has more than 15 years of experience, 10 of them in the fields of renewable energy and environment.
Christian is MsC infrastructure Engineer, obtained his International Executive MBA from IE Business School in 2012 and is currently undertaking a Global Master in Big Data and Business Intelligence in the same institution.
